The Denver Business Journal reported that, on average, 35 percent of employers and 31 percent of workers feel that continuing education is an essential component to the success of the business.

By going back to school, it's possible to be the shoo-in for any job opening, raise, or promotion. Those with ample training and skills can do their job more thoroughly. In an ever-changing world, knowledge really is power and it can be a defining factor. Applicants without a college degree are inferior candidates. They simply are being looked over, not just by the actual hiring manager, but also the computer software programs that are plowing through dozens of resumes at a time. That happens prior to the applicant's resume ever hitting the hands of the employer.
